La Palette: The Chicago Palette – Vera Klement

It begins with a blank canvas with an unknown image. Art channeled from multicolored oils in paper bowls onto a surface begging to be covered and converted. Kaleidoscope of brilliant blue, green, yellow cannot compete with white: for it is where color is not placed that art resides. Never knowing ahead of time what is to be painted, ideas metamorphose onto canvas and flow freely from eye to brush, from palette to canvas.
